Daisy is a tiny town located in southwest Arkansas, home to Daisy State Park. The population of the town is less than 200 full-time residents. Daisy State Park is a ¼ mile south of the village of Daisy off U.S. 70. Located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, the 276-acre state park contains Lake Greeson, a 7,000-acre fishing lake. Lake Greeson is stocked with black and white bass, strippers, crappie, catfish, and bluegill, making it popular with anglers. In addition, The Little Missouri and four other float streams in the area offer spring and early summer trout fishing. Situated on Lake Greesons shoreline, Daisy State Park is perfect for camping and making it the base from which to enjoy the areas many outdoor recreational opportunities. Park facilities include 103 campsites (26 Class A, 56 Class B, and 21 Tent Sites); picnic areas, a standard pavilion (screened) with restrooms, launch ramps, hiking trails, a motorcycle/mountain bike/ATV trail, and playground. Guided lake tours are available and tandem or sola kayaks are also available to rent. All terrain vehicle (ATV) enthusiasts will enjoy the challenging 31-mile Bear Creek Motorcycle Trail on Lake Greeson. The trail begins on the north shore of the lake and travels east approximately 1.5 miles on park property. It then changes to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands and travels along the eastern shoreline of the lake to the Laurel Creek Recreation Area. ATVs, mountain bikes, dirt bikes and hikers can utilize this multi-use trail that is open throughout the year. Trail maps are available at the Daisy State Park visitor center.
